The goal of the DRCA is to keep its members informed of many aspects of Alexandria City life, including land use, public safety, volunteer opportunities, City Commissions, Alexandria Public Schools, parks and recreation facilities, transportation, business, housing, and many other major issues which impact quality of life.

 

Our boundaries are generally Braddock Road to the south, Route 1 to the east, East and West Glebe Road to the north, and Russell Road to the west.  You can view a map here.

The DRCA meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of September through June. Typically the meetings are held in the auditorium of Mt. Vernon Community School, 2601 Commonwealth Avenue. Meetings usually last approximately 1-1/2 hours and are open to the entire community. 

Currently, membership is open to residents, landowners, and businesses within the boundaries of Del Ray.

 

People who donot qualify for full members but are interested in Del Ray may become associate members. Associate members have access to the website, receive the newsletter, and may attend and participate in meetings. They may not vote, chair a committee, or serve as an officer.

 

You can complete a membership application  on-line, or you can download a form by clicking here that you can complete and mail to us or bring to a membership meeting.

 

You can pay your dues via PayPal using the "Pay your dues"  button on the lower left side of the webpage, or you can mail a check to us with your application, or you can pay at a membership meeting.

 

 

Member type A: Regular Household membership - $25

Membership for any resident or residential property owner with a legal address within the geographic boundaries of the DRCA (between Russell Rd & Route 1, and between Braddock Rd & Glebe Rd).

 

Member type B: Business membership - $25

Membership for any business with a legal address or storefront within the geographic boundaries of the DRCA.

 

Member type C: Associate (non-resident) membership - $25

Membership for any household or business with a legal address outside of the geographic boundaries of the DRCA. Associates may not vote or hold office, but will receive the newsletter, access to the website, and may participate in all meetings and discussions.

 

Member type D: Senior Household membership - $20

Membership for any valid household with a member over the age of 62.

 

Member type E: Senior Household over the age of 90 - Free

 

 

1) Use Paypal. Access our payment page by clicking on the "Pay Your Dues" button on the bottom left of the website page.

 

2) Send your check to  DRCA, P.O. Box 2233, Alexandria, VA 22301.  Please include enough information to identify your account.

 

3) Pay at a membership meeting.
