The table details the action plan provided by city staff for the pocket park at 1 & 7 East Del Ray Avenue if funds are approved. Phase I is most important for park usability. Phase II, which includes the labyrinth, is more aesthetic. If the plan is phased as outlined below, grading for both phases would occur with Phase I, so the site would be ready when additional funding became available for Phase 2.

 

The status of funding is still uncertain due to the current budget problems although there is hope the Open Space Fund can be utilized. I've been told there is a good chance that funds for Planning, Design and the Plot Plan will be made available by summer.

 

As you can see, even if Phase 1 is fully funded now, no construction will occur until Spring 2010.
